Nestled in the heart of San Clemente, the Happening Club has become a cherished sanctuary for the disabled community. This vibrant hub of activity is more than just a social club; it's a testament to the town's commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and joy.

 A Welcoming Haven

Founded in 2022 by a group of passionate advocates, this club was established with the mission to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities. The founders recognized a gap in social opportunities for disabled people and sought to create a space where everyone, regardless of their abilities, could come together, forge meaningful connections, and celebrate life; their disabilities, enriching the entire community in the process. The monthly subscription-based service includes unlimited access 120 + hours per month.

The Happening Club is managed by Owner Stratton Palmer, who oversees the day-to-day operations and strategic planning. This dedicated professional spent 14 years in the Capistrano Unified School District where he developed extensive experience in nonprofit management and disability advocacy. He also started a special needs ministry at Mountain View Church in San Juan Capistrano to give families a comfortable place to bring their loved ones. Club Manager Jose Andrade organizes and implements the club’s diverse activities, ensuring they meet the needs and interests of all members.

This club also benefits from the guidance of an Advisory Board comprising community leaders, disability advocates, and professionals from various fields. This board provides strategic direction and supports fundraising and outreach efforts to ensure the club’s sustainability and growth. Through the combined efforts of its founders, dedicated staff, and supportive community, the Happening Club continues to thrive as a vital resource for San Clemente’s disabled community. 

The club offers a diverse array of activities tailored to the interests and needs of its members. From arts and crafts sessions to dance classes, karaoke nights, and sports activities, there’s something for everyone. The emphasis is on fostering a sense of community and encouraging members to explore their interests and talents.

• Arts and Crafts: Regular workshops allow members to express their creativity through various mediums. These sessions are not only therapeutic but also offer a platform for members to showcase their artistic talents.
