This exciting panel plus reception will include future visions and exclusive access to questions from field leaders in digital youth and technology, including: Tami Bhaumik, Vice President of Civility and Partnerships at Roblox where she spearheads the platform’s digital civility initiative and works to foster a global community of internet safety leaders to ensure good digital citizenship on Roblox. Michael Preston, Executive Director of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, an independent research and innovation lab at Sesame Workshop dedicated to ensuring that digital and AI-powered technologies serve children's best interests. Mimi Ito, Professor in Residence and John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Chair in Digital Media and Learning at the University of California, Irvine, where she directs the Connected Learning Lab. Mimi is also co-founder of Connected Camps, a non-profit providing online learning experiences for kids in all walks of life. Michael H. Levine, senior advisor at the Kapor Center and Director of the Or Initiative. Previously, Levine was Senior Vice President at Paramount, and Chief Knowledge Officer and the Founding Director of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center. Katie Salen Tekinbas, Professor in the Department of Informatics at the University of California at Irvine, as well as Chief Designer and co-founder of Connected Camps, an online learning platform powered by youth Minecraft experts. She is also the founding Executive Director of Institute of Play, a member of both the Connected Learning Research Network and the Connected Learning Lab.
