Adynamic team of two is at the head of San Clemente Wealth Management, 241 Avenida Del Mar. Arlon Enmeier, CFP (Certified Financial Planner TM ), started the company in 1984 with hopes of his daughter joining him some day. That day came in 2014 when Corrine Enmeier- LaFollette, CFP, and Certified Retirement Counselor, joined the company as Director of Operations.
Upon graduating from Chico State University, Corrine taught high school mathematics,
health, and business classes for 12 years. Teaching was an easy transition after college because she comes from a family of teachers. Her dad was a band teacher at San Clemente High School, her mom, Florine Enmeier, taught Kindergarten at Concordia Elementary, and her brother, Mark Enmeier, is a teacher at San Clemente High School and a member of the City Council. Through teaching math at the high school level, she learned how to make hard concepts more understandable, which is the same in finance.
Corrine is grateful to be back in her hometown of San Clemente and is passionate about teaching the next generation the fundamentals of personal finance. She took numerous tests to earn her CFP®, which is the highest standard in this industry. “Being a financial counselor is relational. I like to think of myself as a coach or better yet a cheerleader with pom poms under my desk ready to cheer on success,” Corrine says with relish.
A big piece of what the team at San Clemente Wealth Management does is to educate their clients’ children. With 250 client families, their youngest client is a newborn and the oldest is 102. Help is available for people who want to be intentional about planning for their future whether it be college, a new house, retirement, or travel. According to Corrine, being a good teacher means effective communication and finding investments that are right for the client. It’s not about the number; it’s about the goals. “Dad was right,” she says. “This profession is perfect for me.”
Originally a pharmacy in the ‘70s, the charming art deco office building is located across from the San Clemente Library. Corrine likes being in the hub of downtown where locals can walk in and see them right on Del Mar. Voted Best Financial Planning Service in the San Clemente Times for three years in a row, Arlon and Corrine are ready to help clients succeed. Due to an influx of scams on seniors, the company devised a hand-out of Common Scams and How to Avoid Them.
Corrine is currently Vice-Chairwoman on the Chamber of Commerce and will be Chairwoman in 2027. She’s given presentations to the National Charity League, Boys League of America, and the Rising Stars Program. She was involved with the Silent Disco at Puttin’ on the Glitz last year where clients would walk by and join her dancing to different tunes with headphones on. She and her husband Matt LaFollette are enthusiastic San Clemente residents along with their children, Cora, age 21, who attends the University of Washington, Annalise, age 18, a San Clemente High School senior, and Anderson, age 12, who attends Bernice Ayer Middle School where Matt is a teacher. Other local family members include brother Mark Enmeier, and sister Alicia, a school nurse, who just moved back to San Clemente. And of course, Arlon and Florine Enmeier at the helm of this true San Clemente local family.
