Sand Deliveries Complete in North Beach Sand Replenishment Project

The final deliveries of beach sand related to the North Beach Sand Replenishment Project are now complete! A total of 37,000 cubic yards of beach quality sand have been delivered to North Beach.

The newly expanded beach will reopen for public use beginning Friday, October 4, 2024. The emergency sand placement will enhance public recreation opportunities while also serving to bolster the function of the sandy beach as a natural buffer to protect critical public infrastructure and existing structures.

Demobilization activities have begun and will include removal of construction equipment from the area. More information on this project is available at www.san-clemente.org/beachsand.
