The Downtown Beat - Hydration Room Offering Preventative Healthcare in TownJun 20, 2022 10:23AM ● By Nina Welch

ydration Room, which opened at 106 S. Ola Vista this year, offers an effective and efficient vitamin IV hydration and injection therapy administered in a relaxing spa atmosphere. It’s a powerful way to achieve optimal health. And Dr. Brett Florie, Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, is the mastermind behind these innovative therapies.
He created Hydration Room out of concern for his wife’s migraines. When the therapies helped her symptoms, he realized that vitamins and fluids taken intravenously could help patients from all walks-of-life. The vitamin IV and injection therapies were researched, created, and tested, and Dr. Florie opened his first preventative healthcare clinic.
Both Eastern and Western Medicine are combined in his patients’ care plans, and since opening the first clinic in 2014, more than 75,000 patients have been seen. Now there are more than 17 locations in the Southern California area.
Due to the pandemic, people became more aware of their health, longevity and immune systems. When patients told their friends and family how great they felt after a visit to Hydration Room, it became a marketing tool that caused the clinics to sprout up in a short period of time.
“Whether a patient comes to Hydration Room for increased energy, an immune system boost, stress relief or treatment for a chronic illness, vitamin IV therapy is a way to achieve these goals,” said Dr. Florie.
Each vitamin IV therapy or injection is customized to the patient. A full-time registered nurse is available at each location. Vitamin IV Therapy is administered intravenously for 30-45 minutes and contains one liter of balanced-electrolyte fluid, combined with 5-12 different vitamins. Hydration Room’s vitamin injections are a quick boost of 1-3 vitamins given in just under 5 minutes. It’s not one-size-fits-all healthcare.
The executive team includes Dr. Florie, Founder and CEO, Bryan Godber, COO, Shaun Hayward, Director of Business Development, and Daisy Anawalt, Human Resource Manager. Godbar and Anawalt are locals, and Hayward grew up in San Clemente. The team is excited to bring their concept to the beach town where surfers, athletes, and health-conscious residents are abundant in the city.
“It’s a rewarding field because we’re helping people,” says Hayward.
