A feathered star sweeps the sky
Whispering words like lullabies
Flames that flick and embers glow
Crooked shadows cast on snow
Silence thunders through the air
Eyes that stop and only stare
A sliver of a yellowed moon
Wind that dances to a broken tune
A shiver creeps down my spine
In this place, frozen in time.
