The Southern California Schools Joint Powers Authorities (SCSJPA) is comprised of two non-profit joint powers authorities. We are happy to announce the 9th Annual SCSJPA Golf Tournament, to support Safe Schools Ambassadors (SSA) program! This year's funds will go to sponsor eligible schools interested in participating in the Safe Schools Ambassadors program, offered through Community Matters, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, headquartered in Sonoma County, California. As the nation's most effective bystander education program that harnesses the power of students to prevent and stop bullying and violence, the Safe Schools Ambassadors program is an "inside-out" approach to improving schools climate relying on social crime. Since 2000, this field-tested evidence-based model has equipped nearly 60,000 students across our nation with the communication and intervention skills to prevent and stop emotional and physical bullying. We are grateful for your support and welcome new sponsors and our continuing vendor partners to help make this year's fundraising event even more successful than past events.
