Summer Eco Camps
at The Ecology Center
The Eco Camps are unique 4-day camps for kids ages 5-12 to connect with nature, explore our learning labs, gain hands-on skills, and engage with quality mentors in an interactive outdoor setting. Eco Camps are led by a team of top leaders in the arts, sustainability, and school gardens who get kids excited about becoming stewards of the environment through fun and inventive projects, activities, and games.
The Ecology Center offers two different unforgettable camps at our location (32701 Alipaz St. San Juan Capistrano, 92675):

+Design, Build, Sew Camp
Calling all crafters and designers: we're talking to you, girls! Join us this summer for an arts and ecological design camp for pre-teen girls where we engage in creative problem solving and explore technology in artistic ways through a series of hands-on design projects.
In this 4-day experience, your girl will develop leadership abilities and build confidence as well as artistic skills in a positive eco-environment. Through hands-on projects connected to our 5 core areas of Food, Water, Waste, Energy, and Shelter, campers will learn creative ways to engage with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Sample activities include natural dyeing, sewing bags, building herb boxes, cyanotype printing, harvesting, and preparing nourishing and delicious meals.
