Pocket Sketching Part II

Advanced Techniuqes for Watercolor Journaling

Returning "Pocket Sketching" students or those with a passion for watercolor journaling will go on a more personal journey with this workshop. Wherever your travels may take you, you will be able to grab what you think you see, (it is a combination of your total life experience, this very moment, and what's really there.), and escape into a meditative state while capturing the image in 25 minutes or less! When you look back at your sketchbook, your colorful images will bring back a full range of memories stored in the computer of your mind…every time you review them. It's quick and portable, with virtually no clean-up. Then you move on to your next adventure! About the Instructor: She might be the fastest brush in the West! In the time it takes other plein air artists to set up their easel and lay out their paints, Kath Macaulay will have two new scenes drying in her "journal." Using only the basic art supplies she can fit into a compact fanny pack, Macaulay will crank out one stunning watercolor after another - none taking more than 25 minutes. Kath Macaulay has not only invented and trademarked the technique "Pocket Sketching", she teaches it all over the U.S. including Canyon Ranch in Tucson, AZ, the Chautauqua Institutes in Chautauqua, NY, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center in Buffalo, NY. Her joy is teaching others to use this fast, fun, rewarding technique in only a few days, so they can enjoy the experience of creating their memories in moments anywhere.
