The new $5.3M, 12,000 square foot Spanish Colonial
building is scheduled to be operational by December 2007.

New Home for Golf Shop & Restaurant
The $5.3M project will be the new home of
Dave Cook’s PGA Golf Shop.
The family-owned business has been a part of the Municipal Golf Course
since 1957. It will also house a new restaurant “Irons in the Fire”,
a bar & grill with banquet facilities (seating capacity 225).
The restaurant is owned by Dave Donaldson, proprietor of the BeachFire Restaurants.

Marblehead Coastal
The sales office has opened for the 248-acre Marblehead Coastal Development’s residential phase.
The developoer, SunCal has released the first 69 custom homes sites, out of what will be eventualy be 313 homes.
The interest list had grown to 9,000 before the sales office opened.

Grading is 90 percent complete on the the retail component named
Marblehead Coastal Plaza San Clemente, off the 5 freeway
Signage approved by City Council
642,584 square feet of commercial uses, including a 120-130 room hotel,
conference center, theater, restaurants and outlet retail uses
Scheduled to open by the end of 2008/early 2009

Half-way point. The Vista Hermosa bridge on the Marblehead Canyon.
The bridge will allow traffic to flow down Vista Hermosa to
Avenida Pico in the North Beach area. A new park with soccer fields will be completed in 2008.


Phase II of the Beach
trail will begin late this year. The $4.28 million in im-provements
will complete the Mariposa boardwalk and pedestrian tunnel
as well as three new at-grade crossings at
El Portal, Dije Court and, Lost Winds.

Repair of the stairs at Dije Court (204)
The rickety stairs at Dije Court (beach access point between
North Beach and the pier) should be rehabilitated with an
$86,000 construction contract and be completed by the end of the 2007.
