The Cellar wine bar and cheese shop will feature Australian winemaker Stuart Blackwell at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at a “St Hallet Winemaker Dinner.”
The $50-per-person cost will begin with a reception of 2009 Riesling and oysters, followed by a 2014 Poacher’s Blend and a refreshing salad with a citrus vinaigrette; then a 2014 Shiraz Grenache Toriga and Braised Wild Boar Shoulder Ragu on Polenta; followed by a 2013 Faith Shiraz and 2013 Blackwell Shiraz with Wild Mushroom Mac & Cheese and Braised Short Ribs with Root Vegetable Tatin; and finished with a 2010 Old Block Shiraz with Blu di Bufula with a special dessert.
Stuart Blackwell has been the mastermind behind St Hallett wines since 1972 and has been fundamental to its success. St Hallett is nestled between vineyards and the banks for the Para River in the heart of the Barossa Valley, just outside Tanunda in Australia.
