The City of San Clemente and the Casa Romantica Cultural Center & Gardens proudly present, “Santa’s Village by the Sea” this Saturday, December 6th. Bringing you a day full of holiday delight and double the fun in San Clemente for the whole family to enjoy! The fun begins at the Community Center located at 100 N. Calle Seville from 2 to 5pm. Bring your scarves and mittens for sledding down the snow hill, sponsored by the Friends of San Clemente Beaches Parks and Recreation Foundation. Visit Mrs. Claus’ Bakery to decorate your own holiday cookie and stop by the Hot Chocolate Factory to create a chocolaty, warm drink. Afterwards, enjoy a bag of popcorn while watching the cutest dancing penguin in the movie, Happy Feet! Across the hall, Santa Claus will be ready for visits, so come prepared with your camera and be ready to say “reindeer”! The fun doesn’t stop there! There will be games for the children, face painters, and strolling characters ready to take a picture with you. There’s a fun time in store with activities, games and prizes to keep. Before the night ends, walk through the lobby and participate in the Angel Tree program by selecting a tag and spreading the holiday cheer by purchasing a special gift for someone in need, sponsored by the San Clemente Junior Woman’s Club. Food and activities are available for a nominal fee. The holiday excitement keeps going! Join us on the grass at the corner of Avenida Del Mar and Calle Seville and listen to the carolers sing. The Mayor will light the City’s holiday tree at 5:15 p.m. Then, stroll down the lane as we ring and sing with the Bell Choir to the Casa Romantica Cultural Center & Gardens located at 415 Avenida Granada to enjoy more holiday cheer (free admission) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. where carolers will greet everyone. The community is invited to enjoy the magic of the season and the splendor of the Casa Romantica. Cookies and hot cocoa will be available for everyone. The evening will also include live holiday entertainment and spectacular decorations. Children will have a chance to make a holiday craft and write letters to Santa.
