We have been tracking Santa and his helpers to find the best family events for whiling away the hours until the magic day arrives. Please check all events closer to the day due to possible COVID changes. 

And speaking of tracking, don’t forget the annual NORAD Santa Tracker! Starting December 1, the program goes into gear with the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Staff members volunteering their time to respond to children’s letters and emails, as well as track Santa’s flight each Christmas for free.

Avenida Del Mar

4 - 8pm

The City of San Clemente and the Downtown Business Association presents, Santa's Village by the Sea! One holiday event that brings the Holly Jolly Hoopla and the Glitz on Del Mar together for a night of music, food, hot chocolate, popcorn, games, and snow to San Clemente...on big event for the entire family to enjoy! 

It's an evening of holiday excitement! Avoid the wait to purchase your tickets and buy your wristbands in advance at www.san-clemente.org (special events)

Who needs a wristband? Anyone who will play a game, take a ride on the train, decorate a cookie (while supplies last) or take a ride down the snow hill. The children activities will be available from 4pm - 8pm. Santa visits will be available in the Fireside room (with an option to purchase a photo through the photographer). Don’t miss the BIG tree lighting at 4:45pm on the lawn.

Tickets and wristbands will also be sold (credit card/ATM only) on the day of the event. Food trucks will also be available (cash/card).

Puttin’ on the Glitz is a FREE family holiday event hosted by the San Clemente Downtown Business Association to spark the spirit of the holidays. Avenida Del Mar closes to cars at 3pm for set-up, but downtown merchants are open late for festive holiday shopping among twinkling lights, strolling carolers, and live music to entertain both young and old. You can even rock out at a silent disco! Join friends for a festive dinner at a downtown restaurant, indulge in sweets or hot cocoa from street vendors, or browse unique items from local artisans. And don’t forget to visit Santa at the community center from 4 - 8pm! Skip the parking and arrive by free looping shuttles from San Clemente High School 3 - 10pm. See you downtown!

Dana Point Harbor

10am - 3pm

Bring your favorite furry friend to the beautiful Dana Point Harbor and have his/her picture taken with Santa.

The cost is only $15 for a picture and you'll receive the photo immediately. 

Additional photos can be purchased for $10. Start a family tradition with these 

keepsake photos of your beloved pets.

Photos will take place under the covered pergola. Please park in the wharfside parking lot and look for the Pet Project Foundation branded canopy.

Well behaved dogs welcome. All dogs on leash. Masks required by all 

participants.

Dana Point Harbor

10am - 2pm

Take a boat ride with Santa this holiday season, hosted by Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching. Tickets are $5 per person and all proceeds will be donated to Soroptimist of Capistrano Bay Charity.

Dana Point Harbor

3 - 5pm 

Bring a camera and take a photo with Santa on the pier with the beautiful Christmas tree and ocean as your backdrop. Enjoy Christmas music and special guests singing holiday carols at this free event.
